The Wakefield district is situated in the heart of Yorkshire and is easily accessible by all methods of transport. It sits near the crossroads of the M62 and M1 and the A1/M1 link road, whilst its rail line links to London, Edinburgh, Leeds, York and Manchester (see East Coast link below). National Express operates daily services to the district from destinations throughout the UK. For information visit: www.nationalexpress.com

Once you have arrived in Wakefield the free city bus offers an easy way around, linking up Westgate and Kirkgate railway stations, the bus station with shopping areas, retail parks and The Hepworth Wakefield (see Metro link below)

Tate Travel service number 96 provides a bus link between The Hepworth Wakefield and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (an easy route by car of 6 miles approx). For those wishing to visit the galleries in Leeds travel between the two cities is very easy by frequent train services or via the 110 executive bus service.
