In many locations water is a vital element of the landscape either as a natural habitat for wildlife or as a setting for sport and fun such as canoeing, sailing and windsurfing.

Go Racing!
The Wakefield district is the only place in West Yorkshire where you can watch and enjoy horse racing and greyhound racing. Greyhound racing is available every week and horse racing between April & October.
