Wakefield Lit Fest 2017

BEAM have joined forces with A Firm of Poets to bring you this year's Wakefield Lit Fest – Talking Loud and Saying Summat.

Taking place over two weekends, Saturday 23rd - Sunday 24th September and Saturday 30th September - Sunday 1st October (including selected dates), Talking Loud and Saying Summat brings together a dynamic programme dedicated to four individual themes with a series of live performances, talks, workshops, readings and more.

The four festival themes include;

Poetry for the People - A day of poetry and spoken word that is urgent, funny, entertaining and especially for you, the people!

Beautiful Minds - A day of panel discussions and pop-up events focusing on wellbeing followed by an evening of performance with special guests.

We Needs To Talk About Music - A day of writing, conversation, music and argument with special guests.

Wakefield Rising - A day hosted by Simon Widdop that celebrates the creative energy of the city and local talent through words, music and performance.

Lit Fest in the City - See what's going on in and around Wakefield over the festival.

So dive into this celebration of words, writing and wonder this September!
