Getting to our district by road couldn't be easier with two of the countries main motorways close by, the M1 and M62. The A1 (the Great North Road) also runs close by the east of the district near Pontefract.

  • M1 Exits Wakefield:jct 40, 41
  • Yorkshire Sculpture Park: jct 38
  • M62 Exits
  • Pontefract: jct 32
  • Castleford: jct 31 or 32

By Rail: Wakefield is on the main East Coast Line with trains running from London approximately every 30 mins at peak times. Journey time is 2.30hrs.

By Coach: National Express stop at Wakefield Bus Station.
