Details

Before you finish your day at the Museum, make sure you pay a visit to the gift shop and choose from a selection of unique and unusual souvenirs.

The gift shop includes a wide range of models made from coal. These are not sculptured, as coal is generally too brittle, but are moulded using a combination of coal dust and resin.

A wide variety of books are also available to purchase including: ‘Tom Lamb – My Mining Days 1946-1969’, ‘Coal Faces, Mining Lives’ ‘Strike, Not the End of the Story’, ‘Routes to your Roots’, ‘Caphouse to Calder Grove – the Story of a Colliery Mineral Line’ and lots more.

If you are looking for something specific, please contact the Museum direct on 01924 848806 and they will be happy to help.
