Kayaking & Canoeing at Pugneys Watersport Centre & Country Park
Pugneys Country Park
off Denby Dale Road,
*Please note - the lake at Pugney’s Country Park has now reopened. Algae levels have now significantly reduced, so most of the water sports programme is now available. You should still keep your dogs on leads. Regular inspections of the water are being carried out. For more information about what watersports are available please phone 01924 302360.*
Feeling energetic? Have some fun on the water at Pugneys Watersports Centre & Country Park. With the beautiful remains of Sandal Castle as a back-drop, Pugneys is a great place to get some paddle power on the go and have a splash around while taking in some of the lovely views around the lake.
Don't know your kayaks from your canoes? Kayaking is where the user sits in the craft and uses a paddle with a blade at both ends. Canoeing is where the user kneels and uses a paddle with the blade at only one end. If you're not sure which you prefer, try both.
You'll find a great selection of Kayaks and Canoe available to hire, as well as a range of courses on different craft, pop into the Watersports Centre to find out more.
