Details

This year's Wakefield Festival of Food, Drink & Rhubarb has a great selection of children's activities and workshops for families to enjoy over the festival weekend.

Look out for fun activities taking place outside the entrance to the Ridings Shopping Centre near Waterstones throughout the festival weekend.

Grow Your Own Workshop
Have fun getting your hands dirty and learn how to grow your own plants and vegetables. Take a little radish pack away with you and watch your seedlings flourish at home.

Make Your Own Chef Hat
Everyone knows that every top chef has a special hat. Use your best design skills to create your own chef hat with a difference.

Face Painting
What will you choose? A beautiful butterfly, a stripy tiger or perhaps you’d like your face painted vibrant rhubarb pink.

*If you're visiting the festival on Sunday don't forget to pop in our special Children's Cookery Sessions in the main demonstration marquee between 11:00am – 3.00pm. Exploding rockets and erupting jelly are just some of the delicacies on offer to entertain our little visitors.
