A Chorus of Disapproval at Theatre Royal Wakefield
Play, Fri 2 Jun 2017
Also at this Venue
Guy Jones joins the local Operatic Society as a chorus member but works his way swiftly through the ranks to land the plum role of Macheath, in The Beggar's Opera.
However, as the curtain comes down on an apparently triumphant performance, Guy is alone and broken. Then the clock rewinds several months and we see how it all went wrong!
Alan Ayckbourn at his brilliant best, mirroring the private lives of the actors with the characters they are playing.
Part of the 17th annual Wakefield Drama Festival, which takes place at Theatre Royal Wakefield with companies from across the North of England competing for a series of awards.
