Details

The Front Room is an action packed area specially designed for children.

History comes to life in this space with a Victorian Kitchen and a 1940s living room.

Children can become characters from the past by trying on our superb collection of dressing up inspired by the costume on display in the museum.

Feel inspired? Then have a go at the creative activity tables.

There is also the opportunity to cook up an imaginary feast in our child sized 1950s kitchen and play with our grand Victorian dolls house.

Adults – don’t feel left out…the museum displays continue into the front room, so whilst the kids play you can check out the gorgeous Georgian display and take a trip down memory lane to the 1960s!
