Take part in the 21st century treasure hunt across Wakefield.

Simply logon to and search for Wakefield to view the clues for five brand new geocaches hidden around the city. Wakefield Tourism gives clues, coordinates and hints to help members find the hidden caches.
Can you find all five?
1 - Crumble and custard with that?
2 – Hope this hasn’t gone Gissing…
3 – Rainbows and Caimans
4 – Turn-er blind eye?
5 – Any brass int’ pocket?
Cllr Les Shaw, Cabinet member for Culture, Leisure and Sport, said: “We’re proud of Wakefield’s history and wanted a way to show it off to residents and to visitors.

“Geocaching has been increasing in popularity and it’s a fun way to take people on a bit of a tour of the city, while directing them to extra information about the significance and history of Wakefield.

“There are geocaches to find all around the district which have been hidden by other people. It’s a great way to liven up a family walk and keep the kids interested in their surroundings.

“The race is on to be the first to find the new geocaches – one of which you have to solve a puzzle in Wakefield Museum before you can get the co-ordinates of the location.”
