Details

Help to celebrate the opening of the West Yorkshire History Centre by attending this special Community Open Day.

There will be tours of the building and information to find out who West Yorkshire Archive Service (WYAS) are and what the service does.

There will be free family activities inspired by some of the treasures of the archive collections WYAS cares for.

It will be the first chance to see ‘A Family at War’, a temporary exhibition of WYAS First World War collections telling the story of a fictional family from Wakefield. The Conservation team will be showcasing the work they do. On display in the Searchroom will be interesting documents from the Wakefield Archive collection.

This is a free, drop-in event.
