Step into a world of mystery at Wakefield Museum to discover stories of people and their lives, some over a thousand years in the making, others are only just beginning.
Explore the extraordinary world of Charles Waterton, creator of the world’s first nature reserve. Are you brave enough to stand on top of the caiman?
Imagine life as a nineteenth century prisoner in Wakefield Jail, discover the area’s rugby heritage, hear the strange crackle that forced rhubarb makes when growing, learn the hardships of war throughout the ages and relive the stories of people who have worked, lived and played in the city.
