Live original music in Wakefield on the first Thursday of every month. Doors open at 8pm.

9.15pm | Cowgirl
Cowgirl have four releases to date on Desert Mine Music UK (Sam Forrest, Nine Black Alps). The band is the soul child of Danny Trew Barton and Sam Coates. Their current line-up features Tom Robinson of ZoZo / Cruel World and Jack Holdstock of The Federals. They hail from York, Leeds and Manchester. Having played shows up and down the country they are renowned for their explosive live performances. 'Spacemen 3 zorbing down a hill being pushed by Eugene from The Vaselines,' says Steve Lamacq of BBC 6 Music. This date in Wakefield is part of an extended summer of touring - with Europe in July (Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic) and the UK in September and October.
Watch their recent single 'I'm Always Lost' here and Bodys' favourite 'You're Not There':

8.30pm | Altar Hanglands
Altar Hanglands is the work of Leeds based songwriter Harry Ridgway. Launched at the start of 2016 after a long break from playing music gave way to a prolific few months of writing, the sombre and reflective music of Altar Hanglands has taken Harry on a sold out German tour opening for the acclaimed Bear's Den as well as shows with the likes of Damien Jurado, Julien Baker, Kiran Leonard, C Duncan, Fenne Lily, Phil Cook and loads more. 'His dreamy reverb-filled vocals are rich and raspy, and his quivering vibrato gives the same chills that Band Of Horses’ Ben Bridewell does', says Clash Magazine.
A beautiful live recording of 'Under Rocks' is here
