Three performances of Professor Quantum by Dream Time Creative celebrating the life and work of Wakefield born Dame Marjorie Williamson, a national figure in the study of physics.

Williamson’s story as a Lecturer in Physics, who gained a PHD researching the fields of relativity, quantum mechanics and electromagnetic theory, continued with her contributions to the space programme that launched Neil Armstrong to The Moon, yet hers is a story seldom told.

The 6pm performance includes the dedication of a new blue plaque as part of the ongoing project Forgotten Women of Wakefield, which aims to make Wakefield the first city with men and women equally commemorated by blue plaques.

Performances of Professor Quantum at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. Book here:

The Inflatable Planetarium will also be running a variety of shows.

Professor Quantum is a Creative Challenge commission.

Children welcome
