Details

A knitted creation inspired by the Ancient Egyptians and the exhibition currently on display in Wakefield Museum. Gateway to Eternity: Death and the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt explores the rituals behind death and burial thousands of years ago - Knitting on the Nile explores it with wool.

Can you see a mummified cat, knitted organs, canopic jars, a chariot model and a boat model? Knitted by The Odd Balls knitting group in Wakefield, who meet at Wool n Stuff, now at 46 Kirkgate, Wakefield.
