Details

The family home of the Victorian writer George Gissing, the museum is in the centre of Wakefield just off Westgate and behind the NatWest bank. It should be noted that the museum is on the first floor and there is no lift.

A Georgian town house, the birthplace of the Victorian novelist, George Gissing. Exhibition about his life and work.

Open especially for Heritage Open Days.
