Mondays 12 and 19 February
Go wild on half-term Mondays, making sticky bird feeders for our feathered friends in the garden. As nature wakes up from winter, you’ll make some nutritious goodies and fantastic feeders for the birds in your garden. With plenty of lard, seeds and pine cones, you’ll have lots of messy fun and help the birds build up their energy in the colder months too! Whilst you’re here, why not take a wander through the gardens and see how many species you can spot? This is a great activity for littlies under 7 but all ages welcome.

Tuesdays 13 and 20 February
Celebrate National Nest Box Week on Tuesdays this half-term by building a home for the birds in your garden.
Natural nest sites for birds such as holes in trees or old buildings are disappearing fast as gardens are ‘tidied’ and old houses are repaired. At Nostell, we’ll have all the wood and tools you’ll need to craft a home for the feathered friends in your garden. You’ll learn woodcraft skills at the same time as helping with vital bird conservation. Suitable for children age 5 and over. £4 per person, no booking needed.
On 20 February, you can also join the digital treasure hunt. Pick up your geocaching device from our local expert and head out on a parkland adventure.
Wednesdays, 14 and 21 February
Bring your bikes on Wednesdays to head out on a two-wheeled adventure in the parkland. We’ve two bike-only cycle trails through beautiful woodland that are perfect for families. Choose from the green route, great for little legs or the blue route with a few more ups and downs for a bit more of a challenge. Why not have a go at cycle orienteering? Pick up your map from the ticket office.

Thursdays 15 and 22 and Fridays 16 and 23 February
Be inspired by the changing seasons and get creative with today’s craft activities. Take a wander around the gardens to find colours, textures and shapes that inspire you and then get your creative juices going with hands-on creative crafts. Don’t forget to share your mini masterpieces with us on Facebook and Twitter #minimakers
