*Update as of 4 November 2020*
The Cathedral Kitchen is closed for the duration of the November lockdown and will reopen when it is safe to do so.
----
The Cathedral Kitchen is a 'not for profit' social enterprise run by Wakefield Cathedral for the benefit of the local community. All of the money raised is put back into Cathedral funds to help preserve the wonderful historic building.
The Cafe aims to promote a healthy and nutritious menu, which changes daily and offers a great range of home-cooked food and cakes. If you are looking for something which is not on the menu, please ask!
Food is freshly prepared on our premises using locally sourced seasonal produce where possible, which may mean that preparation of your meal takes a short while.
The Cafe supports the local economy and reduce food miles by using local suppliers wherever possible.
The teas and coffees are all Fair Trade and the Cafe's supplier supports Compassion’s Water for Life charity, bringing fresh water to deprived areas of the world.
Volunteering opportunities are often available in the Cathedral Kitchen and within the Cathedral itself. Please ask a member of staff if you are interested in learning more about volunteering.
