YSP grounds will remain open during the current national lockdown. This will be reviewed regularly and may change at very short notice. All indoor galleries, shops and restaurants at YSP will close until further notice.
At YSP we are mindful of the importance of outdoor spaces being available for wellbeing – for people to find solace whilst walking in the open air, connecting with nature and art. As we have the necessary safety measures and systems in place across the 500 acres of historic landscape to enable us to remain open, we will continue to welcome visitors to open air areas. We will review this continually.
Takeaway coffee and snacks will be available from the outdoor coffee bar at YSP Centre. Toilets will be accessible at YSP Centre and the Bothy Garden, and portaloos will remain in place. Capacity reduction, one-way systems and social distancing will apply.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park's Visitor Centre and entrance is a landmark building, designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects that offers greatly improved visitor facilities in a vibrant and contemporary setting.
Alongside the restaurant and shop are a Community Resource area, auditorium and conference space. An outdoor workshop site and an indoor classroom are also available for visiting schools and groups.
Why not take a look at the 'Walk Of Art' as you approach the Visitor Centre from the car park area. 'Walk of Art' is a 100-metre metal pathway designed and inscribed with the names of individuals, clubs, groups, companies and schools. You cant fail to miss the thousands of names beneath your feet in this permanent work of art by sculptor Gordon Young, in collaboration with Why Not Associates.
Opening details
YSP is closed 24th - 25th December inclusive.
Car park locked 30 minutes after closing.
