Details

Immerse yourself in an imaginative world of sculpture making. Work and play together to build sculptures inspired by artists in the Park. Stack, balance, join, arrange. Always outdoors, "Come Rain, Come Shine" is about playful making in the fresh air.

Suitable for all ages.

Don’t forget your camera so you can capture your artwork on display at YSP.

– All materials provided – including branches, stones, pipes and other found materials.
– Each session will last approx. 1hr
– We will be building outdoors so please wear sturdy footwear, appropriate outdoor clothing and sun protection, if needed
– Suitable for the whole family
– Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please book a place for all participating adults (age 16+)
– Please meet at the Learning Tent behind YSP Learning
– Tickets for this event are non-refundable

By Road:
From Wakefield City Centre: Take the A637 from Wakefield. Proceed through West Bretton village. At the next roundabout turn right and follow the road through to the YSP car park.

From Motorway North/South: Exit the M1 at Junc 38. Take the A637 and follow the YSP brown heritage signs for 1 mile. At the next roundabout turn left and follow the road through to the YSP car park.

From Motorway East/West: Leave the M62 at Junc 29 and take the M1 South towards Wakefield. Exit the M1 at Junc 38 and take the A637. Follow the YSP brown heritage signs for 1 mile. At the next roundabout turn left and follow the road through to the YSP car park.

By Public Transport:
Nearest Railway Station: Wakefield Westgate Railway Station (5 miles)
Nearest Bus Station: Wakefield Bus Station (5 miles)
Bus Route: Tate Travel Service No. 96 goes into the grounds of the YSP.
