Public House

Details
No expense has been spared converting this venue backinto a public house, in this beautiful landmark classic red brick and Yorkshire stone building.
The Wakey Tavern is now a shining example of how a traditional community pub should be, with a long solid oak bar, tasteful décor and long fixed seating around the perimeter.
The daily free food (limited) with your drink offer at lunchtimes is proving to be a firm favourite and is typically with stews, hot pots and other hearty dishes that are all good home English cooking.
Our real ales are all from local breweries, with guest ales as well, always from Yorkshire! These brands are from a selection of Black Sheep, Clarks of Wakefield, Ossett Brewery, Leeds Brewery, Ilkley Brewery, Copper Dragon, Partners and Naylors.
We probably have the largest screen for viewing sports in Wakefield, 120 inches, which is used to show all the premiership football games every Saturday at 3pm, along with three more 50 inch screens dotted around the venue.
Our pool table is on the stages area and we are involved locally with a pool league, playing regular games against other pubs in the area.
There is also a purpose built shelter in the rear patio to cater for smokers.
Please feel free to pop in and say ‘hello’ to Wakefield’s newest and friendliest pub!
