28 Woodthorpe Lane,

* Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic the clubhouse, bar, dining facilities and locker rooms remain closed. The Course will be reopened to members as of Thursday 14th May 2020.

Members of the public who have used the course for exercise during our closure are thanked for the respect they have shown to the course.

As we progress through this pandemic we will reopen to visitors as and when possible and safe to do so. *

You're always assured a friendly welcome at Wakefield Golf Club. The challenging Par 72, SSS72 course designed by Sandy Herd and bunkered by Dr Alister MacKenzie, is among one of the oldest private members clubs in Yorkshire since it was established in 1891.

Visitors, members and their guests can enjoy a game around two loops of 9 holes which start and finish at the clubhouse. Good drainage and high standards of maintenance mean grass tees and regular greens are in play all year round, providing a great venue for golf in all seasons.

Relax, sit back and enjoy stunning views of the fairway from the newly refurbished clubhouse, with an excellent choice of freshly prepared food and drink on offer and a warm and friendly welcome.
