What if the Moon was only 7 metres wide and situated in Wakefield Market Hall?

How big would the earth be relative to this and where would it be?

Where in the world would Mars and Jupiter be?

Artist, Tony Wade has taken time to measure Luke Jerram’s Museum Of The Moon, a seven metre replica of The Moon and its position, once installed, in the former Market Hall in order to then pinpoint the distances of the other planets in the solar system.

Working out that Athens would be the relative distance of Saturn he has reached out to people in the Greek capital to send him a postcard to complete his artwork, moving on to Uranus (Qatar), Neptune (Daegu, South Korea) and yet further into space.

In addition to connecting Wakefield to other parts of Earth, Wade will draw the newly interpreted solar system on a unique, large-scale, 2D global map showing the positions of each planet for display in the former Market Hall.
