Details

2020 sees the 5th Made in Ackworth Artwalk get underway. A great day out for families, walkers and creatives alike. There’s even more makers in the mix this year and, as you may know by now, this isn’t full of the usual art and crafts you might see at other events. You can expect handmade, good quality work as standard but also quirky, diverse and unusual materials being used and all at extremely reasonable prices!

There’s lots of places to stop off for lunch or refreshments in Ackworth so you can easily make a morning, afternoon or whole day of it.

There are 4 workshops/open studios to explore around the beautiful village and demonstrations at the local florists together with 9 makers in the community centre. The fabulous tombola filled with makers’ work, vouchers and delicious cakes has every penny raised going towards 4 year old Oliver Stephenson suffering from Neuroblastoma so if you can give more than the price of a ticket please do!

Don’t forget to ask about classes, vouchers and commissions so you can have a go, treat someone or have something made to exactly fit your individual space and needs.

Flyers with a map and information will be available in local outlets and Wakefield One in April and details can also be seen on the Made in Ackworth Facebook page.

Meet the makers, support small businesses and pick up diverse, unique, practical, handmade pieces of art and craft to keep yourselves, give as prezzies... or ...just make you smile.
