Families are invited to join us for this special workshop at Wakefield Museum as we celebrate the history of rhubarb growing in our region! Each family will mix together the ingredients for a tasty rhubarb crumble that they can take home to cook. They will also imagine what it takes to be high street bakers, coming up with family ‘brands’ for their crumbles and creating eye-catching packaging!

The Let's Make Rhubarb Crumble! workshop has been developed as a partnership between Wakefield Adult Education Service and Wakefield Museums & Castles. The workshop is suitable for families with children of all ages and has been designed to provide opportunities for families to learn new skills and have fun together!

Please be aware that participants will be required to complete the Wakefield Adult Education Service Enrolment Form for which time will be allotted at the beginning of the workshop. This will enable us to receive funding to run further courses in the future. Assistance, if required, to fill in the form will be available. A member of the Wakefield Adult Education Team will then give an introductory talk about their Service which will last about 15 minutes before the rhubarb themed activities begin.

This workshop will take place in the Wakefield Museum Learning Zone which is located on the Upper Ground Floor of the Wakefield One building. All materials will be provided. All ingredients used will be gluten and lactose free and suitable for a vegan diet.
