Details

The Art House will be reopening to the public on Monday 14th September.

This will be the first phase of reopening, so for now, the shop, gallery and café will remain closed with a second phase planned for January 2021.

A range of measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of everyone who visits:

- The wearing of face coverings will be required in most spaces.
- To allow social distancing, the number of people in public areas will be limited.
- There will be no need to book in advance of your visit, but you may be asked to wait a few moments at busy times.
- Toilet facilities will be open and an enhanced rota of cleaning will take place throughout the day.
- A simple track and trace system will be in place, where visitor contact details will be collected on arrival including name, contact phone number, date of visit and arrival time. This information will be kept for 21 days, then will be disposed of in full. It will only be collected for track and trace purposes.

The Art House provides time, space and support for artists, makers and creative businesses to develop their practice. It is a place where artists and audiences of all kinds are welcome to experience contemporary visual art and learn about the practice of being an artist through a year-round programme of exhibitions and events.

Established in 1994 by a group of disabled and non-disabled artists, The Art House is both a visual arts development agency and registered charity whose facilities are fully accessible.

Alongside a programme of training, mentoring, residencies and commissions, The Art House develops a range of projects designed to engage audiences in the artistic process and contribute to an essential discourse around diversity in contemporary visual arts practice.
