Details
The Wakefield Free City Bus service was introduced in 2007. The service provides residents and visitors an alternative to using the car around the city centre, with friendly knowledgeable drivers on hand to help if assistance is needed.
The bus links key locations around Wakefield City Centre including the two train stations, Westgate and Kirkgate and the retail parks off Ings Road.
Buses run every 10 minutes from 07.30 to 19.00 Monday to Friday and 08.30 to 17.00 on Saturdays.
All journeys on the bus are free of charge and each Free City Bus is accessible and can carry one wheelchair at a time.
