The Stanley Royd Hospital collection has been recognised as internationally significant and inscribed to the UNESCO Memory of the World register. As part of the commemorations of the 200 years since the opening of the hospital as West Yorkshire Pauper Lunatic Asylum there will be an exhibition on display exploring some of the stories of the patients and staff. This talk will include a hands on look at the documents that recorded a patient’s journey through the Stanley Royd Hospital from admission to recovery.
