Re-opening information

The library is re-opening on 13 July 2020 with reduced hours initially – see schedule below. There will be changes to its operation to protect the health of everyone. Please see the website for health and safety guidelines and changes to services.


Airedale Library has a range of service available to local residents and visitors including:

•Large collection of fiction and non-fiction books, including large print and talking books
•Variety of ‘quick choice’ and easy access popular material
•Reference and information material
•Newspapers and periodicals
•Community notices
•Local history collection
•DVD collection

Other facilities include:
•20 public access computers with FREE internet access and Microsoft Office suite
•FREE access at the library to www.ancestry.co.uk and www.findmypast.co.uk
•Self-service checkout
•A4 and A3 colour printing, photocopying and scanning facilities
•Rooms available to hire
•On site community café
•Adult Education Courses are available at the library

Children's resources and services at Airedale Library:
•Books to suit all ages from toddler to teenager
•13 children’s computers with appropriately filtered internet access
•Activities during school holidays - check the library blog ‘what’s on’ page for more information
•Regular school visits for library instruction and Storytime
