Come and celebrate the ancient Roman gift giving tradition of Saturnalia in the ancient Roman town of Lagentium! Create your very own Roman inspired gift (Christmas felted soap or exotic felted jewellery) to take away with you - will you give it away or keep it for yourself?

Saturnalia was an ancient Roman festival celebrating the harvest and in honour of the god Saturn - the god of wealth, agriculture and liberation. The Romans would have feasts and lavish public banquets, give gifts to each other and throw parties. Seen as a time of liberty, roles would be reversed and masters provided table service for their slaves.

This is a free, drop in activity and there is no need to book.
